LACUNY Institute 2025

Directions to City College

Map of City College Campus

This year’s LACUNY Institute is taking place at the City College of New York. More specifically, all activities will take place in the North Academic Center, commonly referred to as the NAC building. You can enter the NAC building via two entrances. One entrance is located on 137/138 St. and Convent Avenue, and the other on 137/138 St. and Amsterdam Avenue.

Most activities will take place inside the Morris R. Cohen Library, the largest of City College’s several libraries.

Convent Ave. Entrance

If you enter via Convent Ave., please note that you will arrive on the first floor. As you walk in, take the escalators up to the second floor (the escalators become visible once you walk past the Public Safety post on the first floor. Once on the second floor, the entrance to the Cohen Library becomes visible. (There are elevators and stairs. Some signs guide visitors to the elevators and stairs.)

Amsterdam Ave. Entrance

If you enter on Amsterdam Ave., take the entrance on the left side as you walk from Amsterdam Ave. Once you enter the building, you will be on the third floor of the NAC building. Once you present yourself to Public Safety, take those same escalators down to the second floor. Walk past the cafe (not the cafeteria), and straight ahead, you should see the entrance to the Cohen Library. If you walk toward the cafeteria, please note that you are walking in the opposite direction. (There are elevators and stairs. Some signs guide visitors to the elevators and stairs.)

Below are three images demonstrating the NAC building, which distinctively stands out as it is different from all other buildings.

Most sessions will take place inside the Cohen Library, however, on different floors.
